We provide an abundance of information, photos, articles, a business directory, an online forum and free classifieds for each town. Check back often as we plan on adding more features and many more resorts soon.
The idea behind Mountian Community is to provide information for skiers, snowboarders, rock climbers, mountain bikers and anyone else who enjoys the outdoors. It can often be hard to show up in a new town pumped to get out and have. It would be much easier if you could find out more about the activities, places to live and jobs. Mountain Community is run by two passionate snowboarders that have enjoyed living in Whistler, Australia and New Zealand over the past couple of years.
Chris - web design and programming. I grew up in Vancouver, BC, Canada, but spent as much time as possible in Whistler. I made it through two years of university before the call of the mountains became too much. I have since finished my degree in computer science and currentlywork as a freelance web programmer. I've been skiing or snowboarding since I could walk. I also enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, surfing and hockey. Still looking for the version of Whistler with surf!
