Today over 15,000 spectators witnessed just how far mountain biking has progressed at the 3rd annual Kokanee Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival. Cameron Zink of Dayton, NV took the title from reigning Slopestyle champion Paul Basagoita of Minden, NV with a run including the most progressive trick of the night; a backflip X-up one-footer on the course’s massive step-up.

The TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival is entering a new chapter of ownership and production with the announcement that Tourism Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb have purchased the 25% ownership stake held by event founder Doug Perry.

The Super D, a new event for the Kokanee Crankworx line-up, took place today. Nine-time USA National Champion Adam Craig of Bend, Oregon took home first in the Pro Men’s category with a time of 10:29.01 - a full 1.20 minutes ahead of the second fastest time of the day. Charlotte Klein of Squamish, BC took first in the Pro Women’s with a time of 13:49.47.
