Alfano Named to Head Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation

Park City, UT - Janine Alfano has been named as vice president of fundraising for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, the fundraising arm of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding. President and CEO Bill Marolt cited Alfano’s 11 years of experience with the Foundation in making the announcement.

China Officials Look at Top U.S. Ski Resorts

Urumqi, China - A group of high-ranking officials from Urumqi, the capital city of the China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, recently conducted an inspection tour of ski resorts in Aspen and Vail. The tour was hosted by Thomas Ching, President and CEO of PingTian Resorts, the company behind a new international-class ski and snowboard resort being built in Xinjiang’s Tianshan Mountains.

Tahoe Planning Agency Approves Heavenly Ski Resort Master Plan

S. Lake Tahoe, CA - This past Wednesday, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s Governing Board unanimously approved Heavenly Mountain Resort’s 2006 Master Plan Amendment, charting the course for the ski and snowboard resort for the next 10 years.
