Baby Boy for Olympic Cross-Country Ski Champion Beckie Scott

Banff (AB), Canada - U.S. cross country ski coach and three-time Olympian Justin Wadsworth and his wife, Canadian Olympic champion Beckie Scott, are the parents of a son. Teo Jacob Wadsworth, weighing eight pounds, five ounces, was born Sept. 16 in Banff’s Mineral Springs Hospital.

Ricker, Vaultier Win World Cup Season’s Second Snowboard Cross

Ski Operator Vail Resorts Reports Strong Fiscal Year-End Results

Broomfield, CO - Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:MTN) on Thursday announced financial results for the fiscal year ended July 31, 2007, including financial results for the fiscal fourth quarter. Net income was up 34.2% and resort revenue 6.6% over fiscal 2006, driven by an increase in visits at the company’s Colorado ski and snowboard resorts and a strong rise in visitor yield.

U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix Debuts New Qualification Process

Park City, UT - For more than a decade, the Chevrolet U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix series has been a leader in snowboarding progression. Now in its 12th year, the series debuts a new qualification process in order to accommodate the growth and the depth of U.S. talent, Grand Prix Tour Director Eric Webster announced Thursday.
