New Ski Residences at Fernie

Fernie (BC), Canada - Fernie Alpine ResortÂ’s newest mountain lodge, Juniper Lodge, is now available for immediate occupancy. The 42-suite Juniper Lodge is located at Timberline Lodges at the southeastern British Columbia ski and snowboard resort.

Garmont Joins Other Manufacturers Making NTN-compatible Ski Boots

Oslo, Norway - Garmont has signed an exclusive NTN boot license with Rottefella, and will join Crispi and Scarpa as the third telemark ski boot manufacturer for the NTN (New Telemark Norm) ski binding system. Garmont plans to present their first NTN-compatible boot at the international ski shows in January 2009.

Season’s Second World Cup Snowboarding Halfpipe Competition Arrives Friday

Saas-Fee, Switzerland - On Friday and Saturday, the Nokia Snowboard FIS World Cup circus stops for the fourth time in a row in the Swiss glacier village of Saas-Fee for the second halfpipe event of the season. One hundred of the world’s best snowboarders from 19 nations will battle it out in Saas-Fee’s Freestyle Park Allalin to impress the judges for World Cup points.

Charles Schwab Named Title Sponsor of Beaver Creek World Cup Ski Races

Avon, CO - Charles Schwab, a U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding sponsor since 1997, will become the title sponsor of the Charles Schwab Birds of Prey World Cup ski racing week at Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort, Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, officials announced Wednesday. It is the fourth stop of the men’s Audi FIS World Cup tour and one of alpine ski racing’s marquee events of the season.

ResortQuest to Manage New Ski Lodge in Steamboat

Steamboat Springs, CO - Vacation rental compay ResortQuest has been named the property and resort manager for Emerald Lodge at Trappeurs Crossing Resort, a new ski vacation residence complex at Colorado’s Steambaot Ski Resort. The brand new Emerald Lodge was developed by ARIA property group and is the fifth lodge at Trappeur’s Crossing. The lodge will open to ski vacationers in December.

Copper Mountain Ski Season Debuts Today
