Stratton Mountain, VT - Stratton Mountain has served as home to snowboarding’s U.S. Open for more than 20 years. Bolton, VT - Following months of planning and weeks of intense snowmaking and snow sculpting, Bolton Valley Resort last month opened VermontÂ’s first and only Burton Progression Park and an additional medium and large park for advanced skiers and riders. The parks were constructed by Snow Park Technologies (SPT), builders of parks for the XGames, US Open and world-renowned Northstar-at-Tahoe parks in California. Bolton is one of only four SPT park resorts in the East and the only one in Vermont.

18cm of Snow Fell Last Day of January, Bringing Month Snowfall Total to 264cm. January was a mix of snow and sun (but mostly snow), drawing sun worshipers and powder hogs to the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb. The average snowfall in January is 209cm which was hit on the 15th of this month. In total, January received 264cm of snow.
