Here are a quick few words and the results from the Maxxis Cup Round 2 in Vigo from last week. Jess Stone is behind the keyboard today and she placed 2nd at both Gouveia and Vigo rounds and it’s only her first year riding in Elite!

Wyoming’s Grand Targhee Is the First Ski Resort to Register Complete Emissions Inventory

Alta, WY - The Climate Registry has announced that Grand Targhee Resort became its first member to have its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory registered in its online reporting tool, the Climate Registry Information System (CRIS), and achieve the status of "Climate Registered." By achieving this milestone, the Wyoming ski and snowboard resort is the first organization in North America to officially establish a registry-recognized baseline for its carbon footprint, which it can use to accurately and comprehensively manage its emissions.

Chain Reaction Cycles 2009 Team Bikes

Mancuso Strikes 3rd Career U.S. Giant Slalom Ski Racing Title

Girdwood, AK - Olympic giant slalom champion Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA) earned the third national GS ski racing title of her career on Monday, striking gold on the final day of women’s competition at the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships held at Alyeska Resort south of Anchorage, Alaska.

Kelly Clark Crowned 08/09 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion

Mammoth Mountain, CA - In Monday’s weather-delayed Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour finale at California’s Mammoth Mountain ski area, the 6Star Roxy Chicken Jam Slopestyle, American snowboarder Kelly Clark of West Dover, Vt. locked in the season-long Tour Champion Title. Clark was up against a stacked field of Slopestyle riders but was able to bump herself up to World No.1 with a 21st place finish on Monday. Jana Mayen-Wetherby (USA) took out the 6Star Slopestyle Title with an all-or-nothing riding style, Jenny Jones (GBR) took second and Lisa Wiik (NOR) third, giving Wiik a TTR World No. 2 finish.
