Mammoth Mountain, CA - Snowboarder Magazine’s Superpark is one of the largest snowboarding events of the year, and Superpark 14 presented by Gatorade returns to the Eastern Sierras May 4-7 this year with the riders and builders ready to take the event to new heights.

Stein Eriksen Lodge Sends Over $25K to Huntsman Cancer Institute

Park City, UT - Deer Valley ski resort’s Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Stein Eriksen Lodge sent the first payment of $25,604 in its short-range goal to raise $50,000 for the "Room to Heal" campaign at Salt Lake City’s Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Canadian Aerials Squad Taking Ski Lessons in B.C.

Whistler (BC), Canada - It’s ironic, but true: the Canadian National Aerial team doesn’t have enough time to ski. That’s the conclusion of Coach Nicolas Fontaine, who is trying to improve his team’s competitive results with a two-week ski camp here in Whistler this spring.

Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Honor Keith Petrie with Lifetime Achievement Award

Vail Resorts Buys Out Minority Partner in Ski and Snowboard Retailer

Broomfield, CO - Vail Resorts, Inc. announced Thursday that the company is purchasing the remaining 30-percent interest in its majority-owned retail joint venture, SSI Venture LLC known as Specialty Sports Venture (SSV), held by affiliated entities of Tom and Ken Gart, for total consideration of $31 million. The transaction is expected to close today. The acquisition by the company of the remaining interest was contemplated under the 12-year joint venture agreement between the two parties.

Dual Stunt - A new take on Dual Slalom

Dual Slalom has been around for a long time, and consists of two precise tracks that feature the same jumps, berms etc., and are the same length. It is a gated format meaning racers must weave through a tight course and through the corresponding gates. With some creativity and sponsorship money Jeff Lenosky abd crew have created an awesome new take on this race.

Here is information on how the Dual Stunt came about and its track layout at this year’s Sea Otter Classic.
