The National Points Series in 2010 has undergone something of a revolution, not least in the name change to the British Downhill Series. Caersws played host to the final round.

Kokanee Crankworx took its toll on some of the world’s best riders this year and Paul Basagoitia was no exception. Paul got hurt right before the finals and has been off the bike since early August. Unfortunately he will not be able to compete at the Red Bull Rampage in a few days time. We were about to catch up with him at his home in Minden, Nevada for some recovery talk.

Marzocchi was at Interbike 2010 showing off some eye catching forks, including the new 2011 Works 888 EVO Ti that was adorned with an incredibly trick looking set of colored ti-nitrate coated stanchions. While they also had their new nickel plated Corsa Super Leggera XC fork in the booth, you guys may be more excited by the sight of their 2012 888 EVO with gold, hard anodized stanchions. Another blistering hot day of digging is what was in store for most riders today at Rampage. Temperatures once again soared north of 100 degrees F, so hot in fact that most riders didn’t ride until very late in the day (5:30PM+) if at all.

Worst. Septem. Brr. Ever. What the bejeezus just happened? I’m looking out the window on the last day of the 2010 season, and it is coming down in buckets. Again. But not September 25th, it was amazing. And it is that day that we’ll choose to remember as the last day of another incredible season at Kicking Horse Bike Park.

Pinkbike.com rider Casey Groves is set to make his first Red Bull Rampage appearance in just under 2 weeks. Casey is best known for his slopestyle skills, but we’re confident that he’ll hold his own in the desert.
