Hey!
Well its that time again. Goodbye Adelaide, Hello Whistler. The snow conditions on the mountain are looking great with 174 cms last week: www.whistlerblackcomb.com
Less than two weeks to go and I haven’t stopped complaining about the heat and soon enough Ill be whinging about the cold! And I have been whinging a lot lately…day 26 of the new and improved smokefree Emily. Apart from a few cuts and bruises poor Chris managed to pull through relatively unscathed
…the doll!
New years at work was boring to say the least, my ‘wet blanket’ approach certainly didn’t help. My job in the city has been an experience. Once you get used to the locals and their antics: drinking, betting, smoking, dribbling, drinking, eating, drinking….did I say drinking?…hehe…its not that bad, although occasionally we do get the odd mullet having, wife-beater wearing, pregnant looking…. el’freako make an appearance…….oh…wait a minute that’s most of the locals…haha… but seriously the majority of our clientele our pretty good blokes…the pay’s great and the people I work with are even better.
So apart from work I’ve been spending time with family & friends, going to the gym as regular as possible, steeling away to the beach when I can and attempting to indulge my body in lots of healthy eating to counteract my natural urge to light up.
I’ts only now just starting to kick in that once again, in less than 10 days Ill be freezing my butt off riding up Whistler Gondola. I officially depart early Sunday the 29th and will be staying with my friend Cass (who ironically I lived with in Whistler) in Sydney for two days, I‘m due to arrive in Vancouver on Tuesday 31st January. So my final roster is in and I’m hoping all you Adeladians will be able to join me for a few drinks down the bay Saturday night the 28th Jan. I’m not sure where I will be heading but will keep you all posted and let you know just as soon as I decide.
If not enjoy the rest of summer, autumn, winter …..did I mention I’m staying in Canada for 6 months, spending 10 days in Greece and an indeterminate amount of time in Cambodia/Vietnam?…Jealous now?…hehe….see you sometime in August, Sept or maybe even October.
Take care and always…have fun!
