In Memory of Steve Adams
January 7th 2006 on Kicking Horse mountain near Golden British Columbia, Steve Adams lost his life in an avalanche related accident. Steve was a good friend of mine and even though I've been out of the country for almost two years, his death has left a deep mark on me. I missed his tribute at Roger's Pass on Thursday January 12, 2006 because I was still in Australia.
I met Steve during his first season when he worked for Blackcomb mountain. We shared quite a few adventures over the years, including snowboarding on Whistler/Blackcomb, ski touring in the Cayoosh, rock climbing, surfing on Vancouver Island, frisbee golf, alpine hiking and much more.
I've decided to dedicate a section of this website to his memory. I'm hoping that those that knew him will take the time to share some stories, pictures and help his memory live on. You can do this two ways: 1) Click on an add comment link below. 2) use this login page:

Some more pictures from the duffy lake region. I think the first two are from Mount Roar on a trip with Graham again. Not sure about the other two. And one from a surf trip that Steve, Damien and I did to Tofino on Vancouver Island.

A few pics of Steve riding the Cayoosh in feb 2004. This was the last time I hung out with Steve. Steve Graham and I had an awesome trip. We didn’t make it to the top of Matier because it was too foggy. The stupid sun decided to come out on our way down. By then there wasn’t enough time to get back to the top (I think someone had to get back to work - certainly not Steve!!!).
